Good day friends,
I'm new here, and have been working with Windows for many years. I've been using Windows 7 for many years now, but my dad just gave me his desktop computer with Windows 7, and he never used anything wireless on it. I'm currently using a hotspot through my phone on my laptop (which I'm on now) but since receiving his computer as a gift, I'm trying to figure out how to set up wireless on it so that when I activate the hotspot, it will show up on wireless networks. Currently, there's no wireless networks even showing on the desktop computer, and I'm having a very difficult time trying to figure how to get things started on it. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be so appreciative. I can give better details once I find someone to ask me questions. Wireless is NOT my specialty I'm afraid! Thank you, Scott.

Welcome to the forum. Just to be clear you have set a hotspot on your phone and you laptop can see the wireless and connect to it is that correct. We need make and model of the pc and idealy the wireless card it may be an old card that is a g or g which may not work with modern phones as it may need to be n or ac type
