Unable to delelete folder with ampersand in between - sam&mot~1

I have a folder named sam&mot~1 (Dos 8 bit format) when i try to delete is via dos using also - rmdir /q /s sam&mot~1, it doesn't delete. It says:

The system cannot find the file specified.
'mot~1' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

Needless to say that it doesn't get deleted by UI (explorer).

Please help me!

Try these:

Enclose in double quotes: "sam&mot~1"
Replace & with ?: sam?mot~1
Replace ?mot with *: sam*~1
