Hi,

I have obtained a Samsung R60plus Laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium which used to connect wirelessly to the internet with no problems at all using an old Netgear router.
That router gave up the ghost so I have since updated it to a brand new Huawei HG533 Router. All my other PC's and tablets connect wirelessly to this new router no problems at all but i am unable to get this Samsung laptop to connect to the internet at all. It can find the network no problem, I type in my security key very carefully to make sure it is correct yet it will not connect to the Internet.

I have tried disabling the Firewall and antivirus to see if that was causing the problem, yet still no Joy. Even tried Flushing the DNS and updating the firmware on the Router, Still nothing.

I know there is nothing wrong with the Laptop yet I have tried just about everything and have searched the internet high and low for a solution, does anyone have any suggestions ?

Network and Sharing Center - Manage wireless networks - delete the connection and re-connect (can also right click properties - security and see if settings are correct before deleting)

Can you connect wirelessly at other places? Do you have a smartphone that you can set as a personal hotspot to test?

Due to being disabled and wheelchair bound i am unable to test it anywhere else, But i do know the laptop is working 100 %, it just will not go through the gateway of the router to the internet wirelessly.
No problem at all if i use an Ethernet cable.

Yet all other laptops, Tablets have all connected wirelessly to the internet via this router no problem.

Does it say connected but can't get access?

Run in cmd and paste here (CTRL+V):
Code:
ipconfig -all |clip
It won't show anything, just paste.

It is not an I in the command but a special char, best is to copy paste. But another approach - do this instead. Run cmd:
Code:
ipconfig -all>>"%userprofile%\desktop\ipconfig.txt"
Attach the txt file from your desktop here

By the way, in your ipconfig result, DNS servers are 192.168.1.1 and 0.0.0.0 (the 0.0.0.0 may be causing the problem). That will be next step if you can ping 8.8.8.8.

Which firewall are you using?

How is the network location set (Home/Work/Public)? Look in Network and Sharing Center

Can you connect with wire and check in router interface if there are any access lists configured? Also try WPA instead of WPA2 security in router wireless security section.
