Unable to install the windows 2008 r2

Hi all,

I encountered with strange problem yesterday.
My hardware descriptions are there in profile.
I downloaded the Fresh copy of eval-version of 2008 R2 Sp1 64 bit from Microsoft . burned the DVD and started installation .
i used custom installation and created the only one partition ( os created necessary partition of 300mb).
installation completed and after restart showing error
Launch error or start windows normally.

tried 2 times more same error.

then i created the 100GB hard partition for installation of OS and remaining for Data Storage. then it worked .

can any one explain the reason.

i have one more situation which i will explain after the successful solution of this thread,
