Foxit Reader's PRINT feature will ask for the Default printer as does Adobe. NEVER set the program as the default printer. Use the setting for your printer (HP Epson,Etc) and that should work for you. PDF files are usually printed from a reader program or a word processor that supports PDF files.

Is this all .pdf files, or just a particular one? Creators of .pdf can enable a setting somewhere to disable the printing of it if they don't want hardcopies floating around, or are trying to make you buy it.

Do you have a program such as Libre Office try printing from that. Look for a print as image option. Also try this; close all your apps, go into your printing preferences, look for an advanced tab, disable any advanced printing features or options.

So what exactly happens whenever you try to print a pdf file? Are you getting some kind of error message or is the print job just going into the queue and nothing happens after that? Also, I'm assuming that you can successfully print from other applications such as Microsoft Word or Notepad?

Alright, let's try disabling the "Enable protected mode at startup" You can find it by going to Edit --> Preferences --> Then on the left panel, click on Security (Enhanced) and then uncheck the box that says "Enable Protected Mode at Startup."

After making that change, you will then have to close out of Adobe Reader and then reopen it. Try that and let us know if it fixes your printing issue.

Lately, I cannot print pdfs from ANY reader program (Nuance, Adobe, Nitro...). Not a restriction on the files, as it affects even files I could print out the week before. Using Win 7 Pro x64; default printer is HP LaserJet 1320. Every time I try, I get an endless hourglass and the program stops responding.
