I've recently purchased another computer due to my old one being so unforgivably slow but it seems now that new problems have arrived.

The 1st issue i'm having is that Updates and driver updates refuse to install. I've looked on YT for fixes but these fixed don't work for me. Without these updates from what i've learned,And i hope this isn't true , I am unable to update certain drivers when i dont have certain updates from windows , if this is true then i will continue to Bluescreen until i can figure out how to get these updates into this system. Manual updates also fail so i'm floored at this point. I don't want to upgrade to windows 10 , i refuse to.

Hi KeepingTally24,

Welcome to Sevenforums!

Would you please follow Windows Update Posting Instructions - Windows 7 Help Forums to provide us with the information we need to help you.

I created an automated tool that includes System Update Readiness Tool (SURT), which runs and places the CBS Folder on your desktop. CheckSUR.log is temporary in its default location. SURT is a diagnostic tool, not actually an Update.

No problem!

The System Update Readiness Tool KB947821, isn't actually a Windows Update, it checks and attempts to repair missing/corrupt installations that prevent upgrades or Windows Update failures. I say "attempts" because it usually doesn't fix everything. Therefore, human intervention is usually required. It does identify files/folder that are missing or corrupt.

Worst case scenario you'd have to perform a Repair Install
Repair Windows Without Reformatting.docx

Piece of cake, we do it all the time!
