I tried to install an old Pinnacle program but found a runtime error. I decided to install and lose this program. However, despite uninstalling and removing all traces of the program, each time i boot up I get a box tell me that Pinnacle drivers can't be found But even after clicking on the "dont show me again" tick box it reappears eveverytime. I've used "search" but cannot find any traces. Ive also cleaned the registry.

Have you checked "Device Manager" for any entries with an "!" mark. You may be able to delete any entry that relates to the Pinnacle program there, also.

Hiya pal

Click start then "run..." type in "msconfig" click OK then select the "services tab"
Put a tick in the "Hide all Microsoft services" box.
Look for an entry that says "PinnacleDriverCheck" untick the box, click "Apply" then "OK"

Restart your PC ... hope this helps ;)
