Hey all,

Today I bought an HDMI cable in order to have a dual monitor with my lg 42 inch tv. I updated my drivers and tried unplugging, restarting, etc. Under my control panel when I tell it to extend it will say unable to save display settings. I am not sure what to do. Does anyone have any advice. I run a radeon 6950 btw.

Any help would be appreciated.

you may have to investigate your monitor's display driver settings, it could be overriding your inputs, on restart..
see if it's included among Windows 7's start-up routine - use msconfig, and uncheck it from the boot sequence..

I have also had some trouble. I have 2 graphics cards installed at the moment and I had 4 monitors working at once, figured I would push the envelope a bit and try for 5. Once I tried getting the 5th to work, It said "Unable to save display settings". I thought this might be due to the fact I had too many monitors running at once so I disabled one of the 4 currrently working monitors. To my dismay not only did monitor #5 give me the "Unable to save display settings" error, I could not reinitialize monitor #4 (which I had just recently disabled)
