HRESULT = 0x8007370b - ERROR_SXS_INVALID_IDENTITY_ATTRIBUTE_NAME

Hi all,

My computer has been doing some weirdness for a while now where it just refuses to update. Sometimes it gives me an error sometimes it claims to work but does nothing. I've tried the SURT tools and a number of other repair tools (windows registry repair, windows update diagnostic, few others I can't recall off hand), all to no avail. It typically doesn't get past the "Checking for Updates", even SURT just hangs on "Searching for updates on this computer". If anyone has any insight or suggestions, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Thats a nasty, with 2 possible causes
Bad/failing RAM
Major registry corruption in your components hive

To test for faulty RAM
