unable to use arrow buttons in auto menu in samsung led monitorS22A300

I have a samsung LED monitor s22a300b model.In auto option in the monitor,up and down arrows are disabled.hence I am not able select analog/digital signal.I am using a vga cable to connect laptop to monitor.Settings have changed from analog to digital not aware how.but now due to disabled arrows i am not able to change settings.Kindly help.

I think up and down arrow keys should always work (even in bios screen). Are those keys working when connecting monitor to another pc/laptop?
