Hello,

When I installed windows 7 , I deleted the Partition when my "Fedora11" was installed. It's now unallocated Driver I don't seem to be able to delete it or format it.

It's arround 30GB and I really need them so badly.

Any Idea How to format it? or delete it to use the 30GB in my C directory?

Thanks

Hello Iceman,

You can extend the 200 MB partition to the left of the unallocated space to combine it into the 200 MB partition, or create a New Simple Volume with the unallocated space so it will be a separate partition.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Hi,

You can't format Unallocated space. You need to create a partition ( New Simple Volume ) first.

Or extend the partition immediately on the left to incorporate it, using Windows Disk Management.

If you want to add the space to the C partition - you need a 3rd party partition manager.

This is the best free one:

Depends what you want to do.

If you click the Unallocated space - you can only really create another partition from it.

If you want to get it next to C - so you can extend C , then :

Rt click the 200mb partition, select Move /Resize.

In the window that opens , grab in the CENTRE of the 200mb with the mouse and drag the 200mb all the way to the RIGHT.

The grey Unallocated will be on the LEFT of the 200 mb now. Click OK, Click Apply. May take a few seconds.

Now the Unallocated is next to C.

Rt click C and select Move/Resize. Grab the right EDGE of C and drag it all the way RIGHT. Click OK Click Apply.

Hope it helps.

Thanks, I have 231GB instead of 200GB Now

Is there a problem if I keep all my files in 1 and only directory ? Because I don't like to have C, D.

I am very lucky to join this forum :D

Why do you have the recovery partition in the prime left-hand real estate?

Recovery partition is OK there. Only small.

You can just have everything on C if you like.

Many prefer to have the o/s on one partition and their data on a sepaarete partition.

Easier to manage - defrag. make image of partition. etc.

Also, if you need to reinstall - or restore an image - you can put it onto the o/s partition and data remains untouched.

I am more curious as to what you are using the 200mb partition for.

Aha Good, so how can i resize the C ? and create another D partition where I put my documents, Files , Videos & photos ? I need Like 130GB and keep 100GB for the C.

the 200MB? I clicked "create" so the unallocated increased to 30GB and the 200MB disappeared. then I moved/resized the C and joined the unallocated to this partition and Now I have only 1 partition.
