Hope I'm in the correct forum subject. I'm extremely careful when downloading free software and am careful not to check the box for any additional stuff I didn't ask for...only from trusted sw companies and sites such as CNET.
Two days ago I got a message from something called avangate.com for Advance SystemCare "FREE." Please take a look at the attach info and hopefully, offer a suggested solution to credit this unauthorized charge back to my account.
The evil "out there" of malware, etc., has made my computing experience a nightmare. I recently tried to uninstall, with no success, malware called "MyStart" that has really done a job on my system. Thanks for any ideas you all have. ellen

Nowadays, myself I would not even trust CNET.

How did they get your credit card number after all?
It appears to me that the only way to get your money back is to call your bank and cancel this transaction as a fraud. But you would have to tell your bank that you have no idea where this thing comes from. And this fact, technically, should be true.

Nobody can get charged unless they provide the information. There is more to that story than what you are stating.

Perhaps a keylogger/trojan got your financial details? You've installed a program from CNET, after all.
Anyway, just call your Credit Card provider and dispute it.

Click the Start button to begin the cleaning process and let it run uninterrupted to completion.
Important! If TFC prompts you to reboot, please do so immediately. If not prompted, manually reboot the machine anyway to ensure a complete clean.

Let's flush the DNS cache and restore MS's Hosts file. Copy and paste these lines in Note pad.

@Echo on

attrib -h -s -r hosts
echo 127.0.0.1 localhost>HOSTS
attrib +r +h +s hosts
popd
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset all
netsh int ip reset all
shutdown -r -t 1
del %0

Save as flush.bat to your desktop.
Double click on the flush.bat file to run it.Vista and Windows 7... right click the .bat file and choose to run as Administrator. Your computer will reboot itself.

Now your computer has rebooted 3 times ... Please do this:
