This has happened on and off for a while now, usually when I'm watching videos, using Skype, etc. My laptop simply shuts down without warning and then on re-booting asks me to use startup repair, which usually fixes the problem. Doesn't always include a BSOD, but last night it did when I re-booted. What do people make of this? I've also noticed my laptop gets extremely hot when this happens.

Thanks.

So this after about an hour of watching Hulu. Those core temps look hot. Any thing I can do besides trying to blow dust off the fans?

Those temperatures are really hot, buy a can of compressed air and then gently spray onto the fans. If your able to find a guide or know how to remove the back panel of your laptop, then you will be able to much more effectively remove any dust.

Where do you place your laptop?

Well I took it apart as best I could without going beyond my comfort level. Seems to have improved slightly. At least now I know what the problem is. Thanks for your help.
