I occasionally get "unexpected shutdowns". Since I was not able to identify the cause I apply to the Forum Community for Help. System Description:

- Windows 7 Ultimate x64
- the original installed OS on the system was Win XP Pro (worked perfectly)
- full retail version
- the age of system (hardware) is 2yrs old.
- What is the age of OS installation: 1 month (I re-installed it (clean install) after I had suffered occasional shutdowns,
which also occur on the re-installation).
System Manufacturer/Model Number :OEM,
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2,40 GHz,
Motherboard:ECS- 650 SLI,
Memory: Kingston 800, 6.00 GB,
Graphics Card(s): Gainward , NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT, 256MB,
Sound Card: Realtek HD Audio Device (on M/B),
Monitor Display: Philips 190s TFT, Screen Resolution: 1280x1024,
Also I have an Averstudio 303 (M126) Analog TV Card which does not function
since its drivers are not recognized by Windows 7.

I attach hereto the Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2 folder & the PERFMON HTML file
and thank you in advance for your attention.

Yours sincerely

Is the problem more or less the same after the re-installation of windows? Also, are they all blue screens, or mixed with shutdowns?

Hi,

It is very much the same. It is a mixed situation. Yesterday I installed the newest Driver for Nvidia Graphic Card (260.99_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_english_whql) and since then I have had 3 unexpected shutdowns.

Thank you for your prompt response.
