unexpected shutdowns

hello!will be glad to get a quick response.my desktop often undergoes an unexpected shutdown.when i visit the event viewer>>windows log>>the error in the system says sorce-bugcheck with event id-1001 and event log with id-6008.can any one help me out with this major problem????waiting for a quick response....
