Starting today my pc had those random reboots while in windows 7. It started when I was away. When I got home I logged in and 5 minutes later it would reboot. I am now in Vista and do not have the same problem.

Hi Gilbertpwns,

There are some reasons why it would be automatically rebooting such as hardware failure, software compatibilty issues, malware. Here's a little article on some common reasons. You can uncheck this box to probably stop it from automatically rebooting but the initial problem might still exist. You said there was a startup problem fixed, you may also want to run SFC/scannow and checkdisk as well. Maybe even a scan with an antivirus program.

Ok I think I have narrowed it down to a driver problem, because the BSOD says IRQL_lessthanoreaualto. I will also use the things you gave me thanks, but it usually happens all of a sudden prob 4 minutes after login so it may be hard for me to fix it that way. Ill keep you posted.

Yeah, you might want to check in the Device Manager to see if you find any problems there. Also running a system Health Report might give some clues as well. You can post the BSOD, take a picture to let us see what it says.

This will cause random reboot. Disable "automatically reboot" and you will see this on the blue screen. Assuming you have removed WAT.
