Unidentified Network after changing Ethernet Cable

I have a problem with my internet that makes absolutely no sense to me. I recently bought a new ethernet cable because my old was...well...kinda old and it had some wires popping out. I plugged in the new cable and all of a sudden it won't give me internet access. Instead it just says stuff like Local area connection 6, unidentified network, no internet access. I thought maybe I got a faulty cable, but I plugged in my old one and it still says the same thing. I can't even fathom how this is possible. All I did was change out ethernet cables, it's not like they change the settings on my computer or modem.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Did you run the troubleshooter ?

Your IPv4 connection has to say Internet

Right click on the network icon and run the troubleshooter.
