Unidentified Network - No Network Access

Okay so for the past two days I haven't been able to connect to the internet on my Desktop. It used to be that my internet would randomly disconnect 2+ times a day. But yesterday it went off and never came back online. Usually I would simply unplug the router for a bit then plug it back in and it would work.

I tried a lot of possible fixes yesterday, and none of them worked. Oh, before I forget I should mention that I can get WIFI on my phone and laptop, but I can't get Ethernet to my Desktop. Well I just formatted to W7 from W8 and I'm still getting the unidentified network issue.

I'll try my best to provide screenshots and whatever else could be needed but keep in mind I cannot get any internet access to my PC. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I figured out it must be an issue with my computer. The ethernet works for my laptop, but still not for the desktop. Got off the phone with comcast, and the person I spoke with said they think it's an issue with my NIC. I don't know what that means, but I hope this information will be enough. If you need anything else please let me know.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated

Do you have the latest driver for your network adapter?

Let's try a TCP/IP repair: How to reset TCP/IP by using the NetShell utility

Also a Winsock reset: Open an elevated command prompt window (click Start > All Programs > Accessories , right-click Command Prompt , click Run as administrator ), enter this command, and restart the computer:
netsh winsock reset

Might worth doing sfc/scannow to check for any corrupted system files and please run Disk Check as well.

If above tasks didn't work, assign Manual IPs.

Hoping to hear from you again with a good outcome? :D

I just tried all of that and unfortunately I'm still without internet :/

I have the most recent BIOS drivers and network card drivers.

I even tried the Manual IP I got from typing ipconfig /all on the laptop which can connect

I appreciate all your help :) Just hope there is a solution to this

Anyone have an idea of something else I can try to resolve my issue?

Wish it's that easy to resolve your issue. We've tried different troubleshooting tasks.....

Do you have a backup of your computer?

You may also try a new USB ethernet adapter.

There is no backup because I just reformatted. But what I've done for now is plugged in a USB wireless adapter.

It's working okay for now but it makes games annoying because of how unreliable wireless is. Plus it made my download speed go down from 14,000 kb/s to 5,000 kb/s

Try turning off IPv6 on that adapter and see if that helps.

My issue is resolved, thanks for the help everyone :)
