I have an "unidentified network" annoyance going on, after trawling through millions of forums and trying all sorts of stuff, i've ended up here....Please help and please also go easy - i'm not computer savvy!
ok in a nut-shell:
- Have laptop (win 7, ver 6.1, Build 7600, x64) with sky wireless modem all working fine.
- Brought "sitecom range extender" and although signal received, said unidentified network and therefore no connection.
- At this point figurered it was the fault of the range extender, but then finally got sitecom working (security was inputted wrong) and all ok....
- .....until i restarted and the problem was back again.
- At this point the same problem occurred with normal sky network as well - which i can solve by disabling my "Broadcom netlink gigibite ethernet" - ????? But this didn't solve the sitecom...
- Then read about "bonjour" and disabled and sitecom worked....
- ....restarted and same problem.....
Also, the IP, subnet and dafault gateway for sky and sitecom are the same when i do IPconfig so think that's ok.....
Anyway in a word - HELP!
cheers
