Unigine Heaven/Nvidia 275.33 crashes

I wanted to see how the system would benchmark with the new build, but have not been able to finish one. The first time, running in full screen, it crashed a portion of the way through, requiring a forced reboot.

On the second and third attempts, I disabled full screen, so that I could monitor the graphic card's temperature, but it got no where near max before it crashed again. However on the latter two crashes, it produced the error window shown below, and there was a popup from the Taskbar, something to the effect that the graphics driver had stopped working.

Since this is the same card, the same version of Unigine and the same Nvidia driver as I used on the old rig, which worked fine, what does all of this mean?

Personally I would go through the usual steps.
scrub current drivers and panel with driver sweeper, reinstall... and verify you do in fact have all the latest dx files installed as well.

I remember not long ago when I was still on my nvidia card on this machine, on many occasions I had to install the newest driver pack twice before it would actually take properly.

Not sure if it is the reason that it worked, but I applied a hotfix about how Performance Information And Tools reports DirectX usage, and ran Unigine again, and this time it completed a benchmark without any problem. I thought that I had saved a benchmark from the old rig to compare with this one, but I guess I didn't, but as I recall, this one is quite a bit beter than that one. However, I have no idea of how to compare it with an ideal bench using the hardware that I have:

This SPECIFIC driver version has wreaked HAVOC on my Dell Studio 540. 1 day after being automatically installed by Windows Update, my computer began crashing about every hour, usually when moving any graphics with high color across my two 22" Samsung screens.

To make matters much worse, the 6th time my PC crashed, the power supply COMPLETELY died inside my PC, causing me to purchase a brand new power supply.

What caused me to narrow down the crash issues to the Nvidia video card driver update was the fact that everything that I did with graphics, my computer would crash instantly.

After completely replacing the power supply (since it refused to turn on after my computer repeatedly crashed--guess it wore the power supply down???), my computer finally turned on again, but crashed several more times. Finally, I manually downgraded to an older version of the display drivers (26x.xx) and my computer has been stable again since.

This is a SERIOUS issue that caused a computer which has been VERY stable for 2 years to crash frequently and cause me to replace an entire power supply. WTF did nvidia do with this friggin update???

Hell. I want my money back for the replacement power supply. I read elsewhere where this specific driver update caused HARDWARE failure for other people!!!!!

I'm not saying that the driver is not at fault, but did you consider the possibility that the power supply was dying, and that caused the graphics problem. Yes, the two problems are tied together, but are you certain that you didn't get the cart before the horse?

There was one that disabled fans which caused them to overheat last year.

Although your issue sounds as if there were already an underlying problem, rather than damage caused by a driver.
