Uninstall a printer from a home network

Can someone please walk me through completely uninstalling an Epson all-in-one from a home network? I intend to buy a different brand and I have been told I would be better off uninstalling the current Epson before installing the new one. I emphasize completely because when I installed my Epson software it also installed a variety of bits and pieces like Epson-scan, Epson Events Manager, etc.

I just use Devices and Printers to delete/uninstall the printer then use Programs and Features to Uninstall any associated programs. After rebooting it may be necessary to press Windows key + R and put msconfig in the box and on the Startup tab Uncheck anything that may remain that refers to the printer.
