Win 7 on drive C:, XP on drive E:, set up to dual boot. I'm about to uninstall XP from E: (using your excellent tutorial).
Question 1: my data files from several years are all on drive E: (backed up elsewhere, but I really hope not to have to reinstate them). Will they be deleted?
Question 2: my profiles for Firefox & Thunderbird are in Documents and Settings folder on Drive E:. I suppose that folder will be deleted?
Many thanks!

As far as I know, deleting an OS usually involves deleting the partition on which it resides.

If the tutorial asks you to delete the partition, then anything on that partition, including your data, would be lost.

That's why you have the backup.

Likewise for Firefox and Tbird profiles. They'd be gone too. But they can easily be backed up also.

Those 2 profiles are typically found in your Users directory at yourusername\appdata\roaming in the Mozilla and Thunderbird folders.
