When I installed a game from my purchased CD, iWin installed a manager to download games which I did not want. However, because I was having install problems [system compatibility], I let all that stuff through, to get my game to install on Win7.

What I want to know is, when I uninstalled it, did it remove all the registry changes that their program made? If not, should I worry about it.? TIA....

Well, you could run a registry cleaner, it would remove the registry changes that aren't valid anymore. I guess it didn't remove those, most uninstallers don't do so.

I've never used a registry "cleaner". Do you have a safe, "easy to use" program you would recommend? :)

BTW... thanks for the response.

Personally I prefer CCleaner
It's easy to use, safe, and has some other nice features too! ;)

Thanks! I downloaded it, and let it clean my user files, but I was afraid to let it remove all the entries it listed with issues in the registry.

I looked for any items I could identify as related to iWin and couldn't see anything, so I just let that go for now. I'll wait and see if any problems crop up, or I get any more desktop popups, which appeared after uninstalling the manager. I had a desktop shortcut icon which I deleted, but I don't see how that would have worked without something in the registry.

Regardless, I have a tool now to investigate further. Thanks!
