Unique Ability Thread

I thought I would start this thread and see if gets legs

A thread to talk about a unique ability that we have that most people do not.

Kind of like being a savant in one particular thing.

So I will start off with a unique ability that I have.

I have this uncanny ability related to time.

If I am going somewhere and it doesn't matter if I am in a car, walking, riding a bicycle or whatever I have this unique ability to tell what time I will arrive or have arrived at my destination without looking at a clock after the trip has started or sometimes like today at all.

For example it happened again today.

I usually go for a walk once or twice a day. The walks vary in distance between 20 minutes and two or more hours. So today I decided to go for a walk which turned out to be I am guessing a bit less than three miles. I even did some shopping half way through the walk.

I did not look at a clock or watch before I left. All I knew is that I left the house sometime after 7:00 AM but other than that I don't have any idea what time I left.

Anyway when I returned just as I walking in the door without looking at a clock or having some timed event take place outside I said to myself, I wonder what time it is? So I paused for second after entering before looking at a clock and said. It must be about 9:10. Then I said to myself, no that feels a bit early, how about 9:20. Finally I said. The hell with it lets split the difference it must be 9:15.

I then looked at the clock at it was 9:15 and yes the clock I looked at works.

I can't even remember when I first noticed that I had this unique gift. What is even stranger about it is. I can be at home doing stuff for a while and not come anywhere as close to guessing the correct time while I am doing something at home. I seem to have this unusual ability only when it comes to traveling.

I can also be in a car going somewhere, even somewhere I haven't been before or somewhere stuck in traffic and come very close to estimating what time I will arrive at my destination even it is still an hour or so away.

Really strange indeed. I haven't found a use for it except that I no longer wear a watch.

Anyone else have some unique gift that they would care to share?

Well I'm not sure if it is a unique ability or not, but I can wake up at any given time without having an alarm clock...??

Wasn't there a similar thread to this before?. I seem to recall sharing my unique ability to stand my tongue vertically, facing either direction, and lick sideways

my unique ability is knowing just what not to say at the wrong time, then going ahead and saying it anyway, hoping the other person would see the funny side, and getting it wrong...gotten me into lots of trouble in the past, including several black eyes.

and the abillity to pick up a device and just use it without knowing a lot about it.

I have the unique ability of being able to take to anything like a duck to water, guitar hero was a bad one, PC building was another one, forklift driving, anything really... i seem to be able to look at something and understand how it works by thinking logically rather than assuming, thats why I joined up at Vista forums and Seven forums.
