unknown blank gui at start up

so i recently did a clean install of win7 - and i installed mse. i restarted my pc and this happened

so im using home premium 64 bit with mse. that is all - no other software besides firefox.

so i decided to restart my pc just because i had 2 instances of taskhost running.

so i restarted and i was then greeted by a blank mse window with nothing on it. then i clicked mse in the taskbar and the blank gui box went away

usually mse does not appear with a window on the desktop, it stays in the taskbar.

hurr im confused
