open up device manager, right click on the unknown device, select properties, details tab, scroll down the property list to hardware id. right click to copy. post the hardware ID or paste it into a google search and it shouldn't take long to identify it

Their is a freeware program called Unknown Device Identifier Unknown Device Identifier - Freeware Download Whcih might be of some help. I come up with either a PCI simple device controller or a PCI device memory controller frrom the hardware ID. I would suggest going on the Asus site and making sure you have the latest chipset drivers installed Their is a Windows Seven 64 bit chipset driver Version9.1.1.1019 Avalible for your board. It's the memory controller for the Intel PM45 Express chipset.
Thanks, but I could not find out windows 7 driver.
Maybe reinstalling windows 7 can solve this problem.

Is it causing an issue somewhere? If you don't notice anything wrong reinstalling probably won't get rid of it.

If you right click on it you can disable it.
