Unknown file. Can someone please help

When I looked in my AppData/Local/Temp folder I found two files. They are similar in format. One of the is etilqs_5Q74OG4gsvnsTyR. Can someone please tell me what this file is for because i tried to open it and got a message that another application or user was using the file. What gives? Thanks in advance.

I guess what I am asking also, is it ok to delete these files?

I would say so, although if you want to play it extra safe, i would recommend moving those files somewhere. Then see how it goes, if it runs smooth for a few days, i would say its safe to proceed with deleting.

Karl give the best answer. Let me add a little. Temp = temporary. I have never known of a temp that couldn't be remove safely. Many are removed just by a reboot or a cold boot.

So in the temp folder if i simply selected all and deleted it would be most likely safe?

Just reboot and see if the folder is still there. I clean my temp several times a day. I use several methods but have never had a problem with any method.
