I installed a 'pac-man gadget' from the windows website. This turned out to be a non-working gadget that is now unable to uninstall. When I go to uninstall the gadget it says "This action cannot be completed because the program is opened in another file." I believe it is a virus disguised as a program used to take information. I have Webroot Anti-virus and thus far nothing has happened but it is impossible to remove the widget. Any help on how to remove this would be appreciated.
Thanks much.

Use System Restore to restore to a point before the problem started.
This would been cause if Windows Sidebar is opened - close it and try to uninstall.

Contact the publishers of the gadget and let them know that the gadget is not working.

I actually contacted a few people who installed it and they said they are having the same problems with the gadget and that they also cannot get it to uninstall.

Thank you

Contact the publishers means by asking the owner who made the Pac-Man gadget.
Again, run System Restore and restore to a point before you installed the gadget.

I know what that means and I did contact the publishers. Will do.
