Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

You could try booting into Safe Mode (F8 on startup) where you can choose to force unsigned driver installs in Windows 64-bit.

I think you can also do it by changing Group Policy parameters: Disable Driver Signing in Windows 7

Hi, and thanks for the welcome. I might have been unclear initially, but my hard drive isn't even formatted; I'm installing Windows for the first time.

Oh, right.

In that case, right-click the installer and choose Run as Administrator.

You could also right-click and choose Properties>Compatibility mode.

Failing that, if Windows is adamant that you can't install Lenovo's software you might want to check with Lenovo to see if they've got software with signed drivers, although I see from the link they are saying there's no compatibility issues.

You might also want to check Window 7's compatibility center.

Erm, there is no installer to right-click, because I'm installing Windows off of an installation DVD.

Sorry about that, my bad. That's what happens when you don't take in what you're reading. :o

At this point I'm out of ideas. With a bit of luck someone else may have some insight.

I think you should let windows 7 complete the installation on it's own with it's drivers then try to install the drivers. I don't think you can slipstream this driver. The link and directions state among other things this driver is to resolve an issue when not using AHCI mode, so I think you could install in AHCI mode just using the standard drivers that comes with windows. In the very least that will give you progress.

Yeah, things seem to be fine just letting Windows 7 take the wheel. After the install, I've installed drivers and windows updates without any blue screens, so I think I'm in the clear. Thanks for the help :)
