Could be a router issue. I am hearing more and more troubles with Windows 7 compatibility with routers.

First, you could make sure your firmware is up to date, others will disagree, but there are countess threads that never get resolved until a new router starts up...like my own about a week ago.

Check your router compatibility here.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/co...egory=Networking&subcategory=Wireless Routers

It just an idea, you could reset the router (hard reset) and re-configure it. Maybe that will work.

Best of luck.....my router WOULD NOT work with Windows 7 (wireless) but it would with Vista (never tried XP) I Find that quite a coincidence.

Hi zachariasz, what is the name of the "switch" that you say you have? It doesn't sound healthly if you have to pull the cable every time (and many times) to get things happenning. A sound connection to your network, in this case your switch (and to modem, or is the modem a switch also), if the IPs are obtained/configured correctly you should get this instability.

What we need to know is the switch details.

And can you also provide ipconfig /all details (go to Start > in the search box, type CMD. Then in the black window, type ipconifg /all.)

since your running an internet cafe do yourself a favor and get a hold of a Linksys WRT54GL from newegg.com and flash it with DD-WRT firmware you will have a much better router

If your working at an internet cafe ... don't you got like an IT guy to do this work for you *lol*

D-Link DGL is the way to go since it knows how to use the QoS.

We need to know the following:

The Router's Make and Model:
Routers Firmware, just log into the router and check the status page.

Is this computer running Windows 7 32 or 64 bit

Go into the computers Device Manager and grab us the make and model of the card you are using and the date and type of drivers you are using for that card as well.

hmm lets see... this should cleare you up on a few questions
What's the difference between a Hub, a Switch and a Router?

on the windows 7 machines go into the adapter properties and turn off power saving for the adapter and see if that helps this issue (sorry if I've already suggested this)
