Hey there, I know this is a windows 7 forum, But its one of the only places Ive found with quick and knowledgable answers to problems, so here goes.

I'm running Windows XP on a Desktop I just got as a gift from my brother, it was a project of his he gave up, but Im unsure of the motherboard its running, I do know its running 512MB of DDR ram, and at the moment is using the onboard graphics. I accidentally set it to 1920x1080 and now no matter what i hook it up to it will not display, I can see the boot menus and such but once it goes past boot it goes into "Not Suppot!" on my full HD tv, and "Unsupported Video" on my Samsung Monitor, and "Cannot Display Resolution" on my Dell moniter.

Ive tired booting in safe mode and in VGA mode but for some reason wont boot

So I need to know if there is any other way i can reset the screen resolution? Any Help would be amazing, thank you.

The on board graphics may not be able to display 1920 x 1080, that`s why you won`t see anything, no matter what you hook it to.

But it`s strange it let you choose (accidentally) 1920 x 1080, but yet won`t display it on a 1920 x 1080 monitor.

Do you have a graphics card you can install in it ?

You have to make sure the integrated graphics are disabled in the bios.

The motherboard is supposed to do it automatically but who knows in this case.

No, that doesn`t matter. You just need to get something on the screen.

But you can`t even see the bios can you ?

Baffling :(
