untouchable partition

hi ive got 19 gb reservved for back up.i recently upgraded to windows ultimate but i want to put a back up in da empty partition but its hidden and i dont no how to access it and how to get a backup on it.i want the backup in case my os crashes or wateva thanks

Make sure you allocate the partition a drive letter inside windows - either using your partition software or the built in disk management (Rt Click computer - manage - Disk Management)

Only thing is, before messing with your partitions make sure you have some way to restore you PC if everything gets scrambled. If you have an external USB drive you can use an image backup program. There are many free ones out there:
