Untrusted internet site problem

Ok my Windows 7 experience has been going great until now...

I can no longer seem to log into facebook or any secure log in including my zune software. On line it will just say on firefox "this connection is untrusted" and have to just say ok to go ahead past that warning.

This has never happened to me before and is driving me nuts.

Some setting must have been changed some how and I am not sure what it is. I turned off every possible thing running on my computer and it still happens. I am out of ideas... :(

Just seems that something is not letting me connect to a trusted site either online or through a program like the zune software. I don't recall touching my settings and it happens in Firefox and Chrome.

Anyone have an idea?

Your issue is Firefox security, not Windows... Try the same sites in IE.
As previously posted, check for virus and malware and then configure Firefox that these are trusted sites..

No it can't be just with Firefox...

Chrome does the same and I also can't log into my Zune software...

I am working on scanning for malware and viruses but I would be shocked if I had one.

You may be right but your original post said:
.... say on firefox "this connection is untrusted"
So is the message generated by Windows or Firefox?

Try this open another account and see if you can log in. If you can, transfer your old account to the new and delete the old one it is corrupt.

It is possible that after the transfer you may have to trasnfer once again because the problem may be transferred. In that event, open a third account, set it up that it has permission to use all of your programs. Delete the old account (it will ask if you want to tranfer everything, say no) Then set up your desktop etc.

Hope this helps and it is not a big PIA.

LOL

I am an idiot. Everything was not working because my date on my computer was set to the right day and month but was for whatever reason was set to the year 2000.

I changed the date so it is correct and now it works like it always has. I have no idea how the date got changed but it is good to go now.

Thanks for the tips though!

Yeah I never would have even came across it until I did a google search. At first I was not even sure what was wrong or even what to search for lol.

Anyways I forget such a small thing like a date can really mess up an entire OS... haha
