Actually, his post is very vague. He mentions spam, which denotes e-mail, but at the same time is referring to a new computer, which could be bloatware.
To the OP, when most of us buy a new computer, the first thing we do is make recovery discs. The second thing is to wipe the drive clean and perform a clean install using a plain Windows 7 disc.
