Solved Unwanted Updates Notifications

Im runing Windows 7 Ultimate

I keep getting notifications of 30+ optional updates (all languages) none of which I want. I recall in earlier versions of Windows one could stop these recurring. Is there a way of preventing these updates constantly popping up? I can imagine a time in the future when there might well be hundreds of them!! :sarc:
