Unwanted window at start up

I have installed Windows 7 upgrade, previously running Vista, and onstart up the Windows Explorer window appears on the desktop and I can't figure how to stop this. Done all the usual, right clicking task bar etc, but to no avail.
It seems the nightmare continues. Can anyone help?

You could try Run (Windows key+R) and type msconfig and look in start up,this should show you,brink has a tutorial im sure,ill edit this post and add it in.
