Update cleanup not working

Hello everyone,

I have tried to use the windows update cleanup from CleanMgr multiple times (run with admin privileges). The utility shows I have about 8.36GB that could be cleaned, then I reboot, and the available space does not change. I did this about 22 times now under different modes (safe mode, etc), to no avail. I have tried using Checkdisk on reboot, but no errors are found. I downloaded SURT and ran sfc /scannow, but found no violations.

I have attached copies of my cleanmanager, CBS log and disk management screenshot and would appreciate anybody helping at this point because I have no clue what's going wrong with the cleanup. My WinSXS folder is in the C drive.

Cheers

At the present time Windows 7 Disk Cleanup is not working properly. I like many are waiting for a fix to come from Microsoft.

Yep I don't believe you really reclaim or show additional space it's just marked as available to the system to overwrite with more updates.....
I did it after a clean install when it was still working but a few windows updates returned so I haven't used it since which after a clean install and updating everything would be the only needed time to do it anyway as far as I'm thinking,

Not much I can do at this point then I guess. I have tried to follow the advice others have provided in this forum to fix their cleanup problems but nothing works.
