1) Try deleting the temporary update files.

Windows Update error 80070002

2) If that does not help, try downloading the standalone installer from MS downloads, save to your hdd, then install by double clicking on the saved file.

none I've been using MSE looks like the updated version of MSE screwed the pooch or something. I never ran into a problem like this.

Tried the .bat and ran command prompt as admin so no luck with that.

I will try this and give it a go but why is updates doing this should i try uninstaling mse this happened after the day It upgraded it's self. Then I was infected with something, mse quarantined it but I had to delete the items that mse did not remove automatically could something have been changed in my system?

You may have something on your machine that's preventing MSE from updating.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop
|MG| Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.46 Download
* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. Copy and Paste that log into your next reply.

No I do not have kmplayer. I'm about to reinstall windows this is so aggravating, I have never seen windows update just stop working as of now I'm having to download my mse definitions manual as with any windows updates. I like win7 allot but what the heck I have no idea what is wrong with my sys.
I have tried doing this
"net stop wuauserv
cd %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution
ren Download Download.old
net start wuauserv"

tried this also
"net stop wuauserv
rmdir %windir%\softwaredistribution /s /q
rmdir %windir%\system32\softwaredistribution /s /q
regsvr32 /s wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 /s wuaueng1.dll
regsvr32 /s atl.dll
regsvr32 /s wups.dll
regsvr32 /s wups2.dll
regsvr32 /s wuweb.dll
regsvr32 /s wucltui.dll
net start wuauserv"

nothing helped not even the MS fix it tool so I'm out of ideas.
I want to thank those who have tried to help me and hope this issue can be resolved without me having to reinstall.

Since you had an infection, run a booted Anti-virus scan so there is no place for viruses to hide: FREE Bootable AntiVirus Rescue CDs Download List

You can also install Avast and run its boot scan after updating it.

Then you will know you have all the infection out and can proceed to open a Windows Update support case to get your WUD working. WUD support is via email so may take some time, but they will get it working one way or another if you are cooperative.

Thanks gregrocker I will try what you have suggested. Do I go here Microsoft Update Solution Center and leve an e-mail what should i include in that e-mail this is something I have never done.
