Update error

I get the this error code when trying to Update: Code 80070643 "Windows Update encountered an unknown error".
I have dl'd System Readiness Tool and have run the sfc /scannow, which came back ok.

Thanks for the reply pbureau, however nothing works. No problems found on this computer by the fixit. The ose is started, the scannow comes back clean. But no updating!

I have uninstalled NET Framework and reinstalled it. Problem with updating now fixed.
