Solved Update Error!

I have a question, if you'd care to answer.

The connectivity issue got resolved, using friend's provider.

I have been with this provider for some months, never faced Updates connectivity error, till March. Maybe some thing, they messed up, called there tech support.

Just to confirm, after taking the last full backup, clean installed W7, activation was instant. But updates check displayed same error.

Used Ultrasurf on a usb to connect, it promptly ran updates check and results.

So something to do with Providers proxy...

Is it possible to run Windows with proxy, but with out Ultrasurf.

My provider's, speed is fast, only issue is Updates check connectivity error.
