My brother hung up my laptop and at the close was it to install updates and shut down the power button on the laptop now when I connect my laptop says windows on the flag when the league instead of saying says windows is starting to apply the update operation 353 of 74,313 ($ $ _microsoft.net ...) and he never leaves it. o What should I do? [I tried Startup Repair and System Restore error and says it can not restore and open the safe mode does not advance a file) is a trial version of windows 7 ultimate x86!

The question remains - how and where did you acquire your "trial" version of Windows?

According to this article, it was released in the Enterprise version in 2009 and was good for 90 days.

It may well be THE problem! If this isn't a legal copy of Windows, then it won't boot and it certainly won't update.

Trial applications are just that ... they don't last forever. You have to pay for them.

How much was your product key and how did you acquire it?

You are using improper software and I don't how many different ways there are of telling you this, but here goes.

If you have a legal copy of Windows, it will update no trouble at all. If you don't have a genuine copy, it won't update, it's as simple as that.

Buy yourself a legitimate copy of Windows and stop wasting our time - you know it makes sense.

you can remove the hard drive and connect it to another computer to get your files, but you need to do a clean install of windows 7.

For the final time you will have to buy a genuine copy of Windows.

If the data on the old drive is vital to you then buy a new hard drive as well.

That way you can install the new hard drive, install your genuine copy of Windows, and then connect the old hard drive to retrieve the data you want to save.

Don't you think it odd the message is telling you it's installing in excess of 74,000 updates? The most I've ever installed after a fresh install is no more than 120.

Your system is screwed so just bite the bullet and buy what's needed because at present you are wasting our time in asking the same unanswerable question time after time.

Boot off a linux live disk like ubuntu and retrieve all your files, then get a legit windows version and perform a clean install, period.
