Hi friends,

KB4014596 keeps installing. it's breaking my credit card machines. So I uninstall it. After rebooting, we're good. After some time passes and/or another reboot, it's back.

I've deleted everything in my SoftwareDistribution folder. My WSUS server is not pushing this update. Where else can I look?? I'm stumped!

Thank you!

When it reappears in Windows Updates, right click on the actual update & select Hide. That should stop it reappearing.

It doesn't get offered; It just gets installed. I'm given no choice.

What method for installing updates are you using. If you have elected to install updates automatically this could be the reason.

Open Windows Updates & select Settings, from the menu of the LH side. Change the Install Automatically to let me select what Updates to install & save the change.. After running the computer for a while open Windows Update & see if the offending update is listed again & if so you should be able to hide it as I mentioned before.

Isn't that an optional update ? You should have the Box that says "Give me recommended updates the same way as import Important Updates" unchecked after You do what's posted above.
