Whenever I try to update with windows update it makes it about 6/8th of the way, freezes for a bit, then says "Error: 9c59"

I have been struggling with this error for a few days now. SFC /SCANNOW has found nothing. My CBS file is over 50mb, so I uploaded it to drop box.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/wmkfkg7egewtw7b/CBS.zip?dl=0

Please respond as soon as possible. Thanks for your time! :)

The SFC scan appears not to have completed at the time you posted the logs.
The CheckSUR, however, does tell us that there are a number of problem files...

I'm having problems sourcing a couple of the files - they appear to be for an old security update, and I can't find any references.
I'll ask around and see if anyone else has them.

I've uploaded a file - sklaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.

Right-click on the saved file and select Extract all...
Change the target to C:\ and click on Extract
Close all windows (it would be a good idea to print these instructions!)

Now reboot to the Repair Environment - as soon as the machine restarts, start tapping F8 - this should bring up the Advanced Boot Menu, at the top of which should be the option 'Repair my Computer'
Pick that
You'll have to log in with your username and password.

Pick the option to use a Command Prompt
At the prompt type
DIR C:\sklaa
hit the enter key - if you get a 'Not Found' error try
DIR D:\sklaa
or
DIR E:\sklaa

The drive letter in use when you find the folder will need to be substituted (for<drive>) into the following command...

XCOPY <drive>:\sklaa <drive>:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h

(e.g. XCOPY P:\wfire P:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h )

run the command (it should take almost no time) and when the prompt returns, type
EXIT
and hit the Enter key to exit Command Prompt - reboot to Normal Mode Windows.

Now run SFC /SCANNOW in an Elevated Command Prompt
then reboot and upload the new CBS.log file to your reply

I can't seem to enter the Repair Environment - when I press f8 on launch it will go blank and my computer will stop loading. If I press enter it will load for a bit, stop, and if I do this enough it will launch normally. If I press ctrl alt delete it will play a beep then load normally too.

Sounds as if you have a corrupted System Reserved partition, or MBR problems.
That's rather out of my expertise - I'll see if I can find anyone who knows what may cause that behaviour.

Those repairs are staged from the very OS that may be corrupted. Best to use the installation media or Repair CD. These supercede the HD so it remains inert for repairs.

I'd follow the troubleshooting steps below to first check for infection since it may not start after Repair or System Restore if infected.

SFC found nothing to complain about this time, either - please run CheckSUR again, and post the new CheckSUR.log file
There are still significant errors in the CBS.log which we'll have to deal with later.

The error list is still the same - which usually means that the files got copied to the wrong place.
Open an elevated Command Prompt window and run the following commands..

DIR C:\sklaa
DIR C:\Windows\winsxs\skl*.* /S

Post the results.

I obviously didn't make myself clear...

Open an elevated Command Prompt window and run the following commands..

DIR C:\sklaa
DIR C:\Windows\winsxs\skl*.* /S

Post the results.

Here are some instructions to make life easier :)
1) To open an Elevated Command Prompt Window (the ECP window), click on Start, All Programs, Accessories – then right-click on Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator. Accept the UAC prompt.
2) To run the commands easier, highlight the block of commands, and right-click on the highlight – select Copy. In the CP Window, click on the black/white icon at top left – select Paste. The commands will run but may not complete the last command, so hit the Enter Key once.
3) To copy the results... click on the Black/White icon in the top left, and select Edit... 'Select All', and hit the Enter key - then use Ctrl+V or r-click+Paste to paste it into your response.
