Hello Forum Folks:
I recently had to reinstall my O/S from a disk which contains SP1. The problem is that the disk is pretty old (IE 8 is the browser version that is on the disk.) I have been running the update system for 48 hours with no results. (Probably because there is hundreds that have to be searched.) I have gone to the MS download site, but there are dozens of updates and I'm not sure which one will allow me to download all the necessary updates. There are a number of online proxy sites, but I'm not sure if I can trust them. If anyone can suggest which one will allow me to get up to date, I would appreciate it.
