I have a HP Mini 1101 netbook which originally came with Windows XP Home. That OS suffered some hal.dll error, so I took the opportunity to upgrade it to Windows 7 Ultimate. I want(ed) to update the drivers but according to HP's support site for this netbook it only covers XP Home & Professional & Vista Business & Ultimate.
I was wondering if would be advisable (I personally don't think it is) to update using the Vista Ultimate drivers?

Thanks.

Yep, what Pebbly said. Just so you know in the future, most Vista drivers will work just fine with Windows 7. Always look for Windows 7 drivers first, but if you cannot find them or they do not exist, Vista drivers usually do the trick.

Is there much difference between a 1101 and a Mini-110? My daughter has a mini-110 with windows 7 starter on it and HP has windows 7 drivers available for it. If they share hardware some of those drivers may work out for you.

I'd say it is worth a try to try the Mini-110 drivers for Windows 7. Hopefully between trying the Vista drivers and the Mini-110 drivers, you will have something that works!

Let us know!
