Solved Updating Mobo

Ok, I've got another topic going about a suped up gaming/programming/graphics designing computer, that's being built later this year (College Graduation Present).

Here's my current dilemma. My current motherboard, the ASUS Rampage Extreme, is having issues with certain things, overheating, stuck in "OC Mode", with the options to take it out are missing from the BIOS.


Can anyone suggestion a motherboard for a temporary replacement? I'm thinking between 70$ - 110$. Just needs to be a good brand.


This is kinda an urgent deal =/ School started back up, and i need a working computer that can run Visual Studio without crashing because it overheated.

Get ASUS P5G41T-M LX it's cheap and will do the Job it's DDR3 and LGA775 board. Under 100$ and i think it will be best for temporary replacement.

Staying away from ASUS. This motherboard I have now, is the biggest pile of crap. Not to mention I can't even find out where to contact ASUS about servicing my motherboard.

I love it. Soon as I get some $$ on my paypal, I will be buying the motherboard, an after market HeatSink, and another 4GB of RAM to have a grand total of 8GB.
