ok so my hard drive took a dump. so i went out and bought a brand new one and installed it myself. then i went and got windows 7 and also installed that myself. (DYI!) But im trying to burn a movie with Windows DVD Maker, but it told my that my video card does not meet the minimum requirments. So i new i had a Good Nvidia Graphics card so i went to check my card just in case by using the DxDiag thingy or w/e. And it only says that i have a Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. I am thinking that i did not install some drivers or something for my computer to recognized my graphics card with windows 7 or something...can someone help me fix Windows DVD Maker and/or My computer with its Video Card?

You don't have your graphics card drivers installed. Do you know which Nvidia card you have?

Go to the nVidia site and DL the latest software for your card. It will include the drivers and all the nVidia tools.

As you have a notebook, it may be best to download the drivers from the maker's support site (like www.hp.com). If tghere are no Win7 ones listed, you can probably use Vista ones, if they exist.

You can also try drivers from www.nvidia.com. Some notebook makers modify the device ID of their onboard graphics, though, so the nVidia drivers amy not install automatically. It's possible to customize them to match your device ID, but I've never done it. (NVIDIA & Laptop News | Latest NVIDIA drivers and related news | laptopvideo2go.com)
