updating shared folder contents problem

unrevived

I've got a few folders put up in sharing in my home network, all the computers have windows 7 x64 installed. On the main desktop computer i keep adding folders inside the already shared folder like let's say i've got //main-pc/music/ in share and i add a new album in //main-pc/music/judas priest/ ... if i try to access judas priest in sharing i get an empty folder, why is that ? This happens now to every new folder i try to create in any already shared folder. Can i get some support please ?

Normally a newly created "child" folder will inherit the properties of the "parent" folder. When you create the new sub-folder, do its Properties show it to be "shared"? If so, are the permissions correct to enable you to access it over the network?

When sharing a folder in XP there was actually an option to share only the parent folder or to apply the setting to all sub-folders too. I haven't found a similar option in Vista or 7 (which doesn't mean it isn't there!).
