Had a cruddy run in with a fake antispyware program getting installed. Was able to remove it via Mbam. I did also find a registry entry via Hijack that was no good so I got rid of that too. Although now certain programs(WoW, iTunesstore) are not able to connect via their programs. I am able to go online perfectly fine...obviously but I am not able to pin down the reason for them not being able to update. Also, I was able to update Avast for some reason.
Any help is most appreciated, thank you.

We are goin to need more information on yoru computer.

Especially your Firewall. Did you do any recent Windows Updates? check the history... things like that.

There are programs that may have forced those certains firewall ports to close on you. Who knows?

but we do need more information on what kind of system your running... To us.. that is just one big run on sentence.

What info do are you looking for? This isn't due to an update. No programs forced anything to close unless it was the fake antivirus. Windows Firewall is fine and anything that needs to be allowed or blocked is being done. It isn't a hardware issue at all. I'll put more system info in my profile

Thanks for the help.

Had to resort to a system restore. Wanted to know the root of the problem or whatnot so I asked. Thanks again.
