Updating without internet connection

Hey peeps,

Is it possible to update windows without an internet connection.

I am building a new PC for my mum and she has not got internet access at the mo and i will need to update when i install 7 Pro.

Is it possible at all?

I would say no. But since most of the updates are security related, there is no point having them if you are not connected to the internet. And the few functional updates you may load on a stick from a connected system and install them from the stick. That may be a little tedious because you have to find them, but I would think it is possible.

I agree. If no internet, no problem. There is no point in keeping ur windows upto date if she is not online.

At anytime, you can download the updates to a usb and install them ur mom machine. Nothing is gonna affect.
